What a morning!

Had a system glitz this morning so 1 customer ordered the same product 3 times. So I gave her a refund on 2 of the orders. Had to fix some TOU's because our site attaches a copy of the designers TOU right to the product. Was out of canned kitty food so had to run to the store or else Midnight would have killed me. She loves her canned food. I forgot the mayo while I was at the store but at least I did not forget the coffee. Can't live without the coffee. Next week I got to take all the kids for shots so that will cost me $120 Plus Max which is another $30 but at least David pays for him. Anyone want my migraine?

Getting Better

Yesterday David came over and he fixed my bike for me. Not only was the tub blown out so was the tire itself. That repair job cost me $40. I need a new room mate. Had to put the last one out because I was getting to many complaints from people in the park. She was letting her dog run loose all over the park. drinking at the pond and leaving he beer can laying around on the ground, and being just plain down right rude to people. To top that off she was just taking and using or drinking what ever of mine she wanted. Angela had given me a can of body spray and don't you know she used it up then she went and bought out every can the local store had. Did she offer to let me use hers? Oh heck no because it was hers. So I ended up buying Windsong instead. She still owes me for the 2 bottles of wine that she stole from me plus the cost of the script that I picked up for her. I won't even talk about the fact that she was very rude to 2 of my grand-kids just because they are black. But at least it is peaceful around here once again and my babies are happy with that and I am happy that I don't have her dog shitting and pissing all over my carpet.

What a day

I can't believe that I blew out a tire on my bike last night. David had to come over and run to K-mart to buy a new tube. then when he went to take the tire off we discovered there was a rip in the tire itself. With out my bike I can't get around. I use it to ride the mile out to the doctors office, the two and a half miles out to Walmart and every where else I need to go. It five miles round trip to Walmart and boy am I tired by the time I get home. I also walk around the park every night which is about a mile. Just before I go to bed I take my walk and then take a shower. You can best believe my fat behind is tired when I get back in the door. Not that I think it is helping me any because I am still just as fat as I was.

S'mores

Do you know that Kraft now makes flat marshmallows to use to make S'mores out of? They are a flat square that fits very neatly on your gram cracker. Way to go Kraft for your new Marshmallows. Now if Hersey would make S'more size bars.

Please forgive me

Will you all please forgive me as I have once again had to move and now on top of it my computer is DOWN. I went to put a new wi-fi PCI card in it last night and discovered that my fan is bad. I have a new one ordered but until then I will not turn on the puter because I don't want to lose the processor also. I promise to get back up and running as fast as I can. In the mean time the other staff at Nut House Scraps is taking reallygood care of the store. We have lots of new things in the store for your scrapping pleasure.

Happy Memorial Day

I would like to say Happy Memorial Day to everyone. If you have ever had a family member serve in the Armed Forces I know that you will be joining us as we remember those who have lost their lives so that we me be FREE.

Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished over the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Most people no longer remember the proper flag etiquette for the day. While there are towns and cities that still hold Memorial Day parades, many have not held a parade in decades. Some people think the day is for honoring any and all dead, and not just those fallen in service to our country.

To help re-educate and remind Americans of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the "National Moment of Remembrance" resolution was passed on Dec 2000 which asks that at 3 p.m. local time, for all Americans "To voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a Moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to 'Taps."

The Moment of Remembrance is a step in the right direction to returning the meaning back to the day. What is needed is a full return to the original day of observance. Set aside one day out of the year for the nation to get together to remember, reflect and honor those who have given their all in service to their country.

1 Month Later

It has been a month now since we have moved. We still have lots of boxes to unpack but we need dressers for the kids so we can have the bins their clothes are in. The two youngest girls seem to think we live in a pig sty and it is a fight to get them to keep their room picked up. I don't expect them to keep them looking like a show case. I really don't mind the lived in look but I do mind your clothes all over the floor and not being able to walk in the door. The boys do a pretty good job of keeping their room clean, only have to tell them to pick up a few items now and then. Every night before they go to bed they all have chores. Joy gets the dishes and cleaning the stove and counters. The boys have to put away the clean dishes, sweep and mop the floor and take out the trash from the whole house. The two girls have to pick up the living room and pick up the bathroom. This way when we go to bed the house looks pretty good every night.

I finely got a new office chair today. I only got my puter back up a few days ago and every since I have we have been sitting on the coffee table so we could use the puter.

It seems that my midnight took the worst of the move. From what we can figure out she was with child when we moved and the stress of the move caused her to have a miscarriage. This really took it tole on her and we almost lost her. I had to get her some omoxiciallin and she is now well on the road to recovery. The only thing is my once heathen cat is now trying to be a lap kitty. It seems she must be part chicken. For her to go out now mommy has to hold her hand. She will not go out without me and then won't move more than 2 feet from me. The only time she leaves my side in the house is when she is chasing Angela's cat "Kitty". When she does this we have to pull her off Kitty and spank her. We are very careful when we spank her because of all she has been though.

Because of my move we have delayed the stores second birthday party. The party will be held the week of May 15, 2011. We started our little store over two years ago as a way to keep our family together. We hope that we have been living up to our goal of bring you top quality scrapbooking and commercial use products.
